Transcript
Hi everyone, this is Mandy with the Seattle Learning Academy's American English Pronunciation podcast. This is a promotional podcast to announce our new remote assessments! I'm sure all of you know that written guides are great to tell you what kinds of pronunciation issues you may have, but without personal feedback from a professional, it is still very difficult to tell what your specific issues are.
That is why Seattle Learning Academy and Pronuncian.com have developed a remote speaking assessment that you can purchase. It works like this:
We have developed a script for you to read that leads you through all the possible sound and syllable stress errors of English pronunciation. When you purchase the remote assessment from the products page on Pronuncian.com you receive an email that gives you a phone number or Skype number to call as well as the link for downloading the script that you will read. You call our number, which then directs you to a voicemail account. You tell us your name and email address so we can send your results back to you. Also tell us your native language. Then you read the script into the voice-mailbox. That's all you need to do!
You can call over the phone to our US based phone number, or call on your computer through the online voice service Skype.com. If you call with your phone, you are responsible for any long distance phone charges you might have through your phone company. If you call through Skype, your only charge is what you pay for the product. If you call with Skype, it is best if you have a microphone attached to your computer so we get the clearest message possible. You will have 10 minutes to read the script. If you make a mistake and want to start over, just call back and start at the beginning again. We will only assess the most current recording we receive from you.
After we receive your message we complete our part of the assessment within 5 business days. Then you will receive your results through email. We will tell you the specific mispronunciations we heard on your assessment, as well as any lessons online at Pronuncian.com that will help you understand and correct your issues.
The cost for this service is only $80US. That is absolutely the least expensive phone or internet-based personalized assessment that is scored by real professional teachers!
So, go to the Products page at Pronuncian.com and start your assessment as soon as possible!
Thanks for listening to this Seattle Learning Academy promotional podcast. Seattle Learning Academy is where the world comes to learn.
Bye-bye.
