Hello everyone, this is Mandy, and this is a special promotional podcast; it is not an educational episode. I wanted to let you all know about some exciting news. A textbook that I have been working on has just come back from editing and is now for sale through the Seattle Learning Academy website. The book's name is Pronunciation Pages: Sounds of American English.

I want to take a few minutes to explain the book. It's about 150 pages long and goes over all the sounds of American English as well as syllable stress rules. Some of you who have visited the Pronuncian website may have clicked on the Materials tab and gotten a message that the content of much of that page is for registered members only. That tab actually contains all 67 listening exercises that correspond to the text. Up until now, that tab has been only for my students. But now, your purchase of the book comes with 6 months access to those exercises plus 24 additional exercises dealing with rhythm of English.

The benefit of the book is that is walks you through all the sounds of English, one at a time, and spends extra time with difficult sets of confusing sounds. It goes into much more depth than I have time to during the podcasts. You are directed to work through more of the tough sounds.

I'll add links to purchase the book from the Pronuncian website so you can easily find it, but it will show us as a purchase from Seattle Learning Academy. The cost for the softcover book is $42 dollars US, plus shipping, and the price for the ebook download is $25 US. That is about 27 Euros for the physical book and 16 Euros for the ebook, or about 4,400 Japanese Yen for the physical book and about 2,600 Japanese Yen for the ebook. The cost is listed in dollars, but since the purchase is sent securely through PayPal, you can buy the book from a 190 countries in 16 different currencies.

Let me tell you how easy it is to get this book through download. I am really amazed how simple this process is! After going to the either www.pronuncian.com or www.seattlelearning.com., click to add the book to your shopping cart. Add your zip code for calculating sales tax in Washington state and VAT in the EU. Then you are taken into paypal's website where you DO NOT need to set up an account to make a purchase. Just click "continue" next to the question: "Don't have a PayPal account?" and you can pay with your credit card without registering for an account. After making your payment, you are immediately sent an email that gives you the webpage to go to for your ebook and the registration code for full access to the Pronuncian website. So, within 2 minutes of making your purchase, you can have the book on your computer. Isn't that neat?

Buying the physical book is just as easy, and you still immediately get the registration code for full access to Pronuncian.com, but you'll have to wait a few days until you get the book, of course, plus pay shipping.

I want to thank you for listening to this promotional podcast, and for continually listening to the education episodes. If you have found value in the podcasts, purchasing this book as a great way to help support the show.

Thanks again everyone.
